Cape Mowers opened its doors for the first time in 1995 in Parow as a sub-contractor to Modern Mowers.. From there we moved to Durban Road in Mowbray where we stayed for 5 years. Now finally we have come to rest in  Airport Industria at the airport since 2002.

Cape Mowers has been the service agent for Smith Turf ( the Toro agents) for the past 8 years.

We are the Western Cape agent for the Hill billy, Powakaddy and Trolem electric golf trolleys. We offer these products with a full spares back-up as well as a Service Centre run by a competent technician.

Unlike any other agent or lawnmower shop in the Cape,  we have the following engineering machines:

1. A Surface Grinder for blades
2. Two Lathes.
3. A Engineering Cylinder Grinder for Reels.
4. A Milling machine which enables us to fabricate any part we require.
5. Iron worker
6. Reel balancer
7. Hydraulic Press

There are Parts Fitters and  Mechanics. We at Cape Mowers proudly call ourselves Mechanics.

The latest speciality of Cape Mowers is refurbishing machines that to most people will be classified as scrap. Visit our link (refurbishing) to see the ”before and after” on the machines we have refurbished to date.

Our latest venture is fabricating 14 bladed reels for all machines. The reason for 14 blades, is to increase the clip rate, which provides a better cut on the greens.

We further manufacture stainless steel rollers which includes stainless steel shafts and stainless steel bearings. Water is the main culprit that causes a bearing to fail, but by using stainless steel bearings and a stainless steel shaft, we eliminate water problems completely.
